DAY 2: FULL DAY ATHENS CITY TOUR & SOUNION
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, meet your local guide and begin the morning with a sightseeing tour of Athens. Climb up to the world famous marble-capped Acropolis and visit the Parthenon and Erechtheion temples. Continue with a panoramic sightseeing drive viewing the highlights of modern Athens: the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Parliament House, the Academy, the University of Athens, the National Library, Panathenaic Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus, and Hadrian’s Arch.

After lunch at a local restaurant we depart for our afternoon excursion towards Cape Sounion. We drive along the picturesque coastal road of the Athenian riviera, past the beautiful blue waters and countless coves of Glyfada, Voula, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza and continue towards Sounion. The crowning feature of the tour is Cape Sounion, famous for its radiant sunsets and dominated by the Doric white marble Temple of Poseidon that overlooks the blue Aegean Sea. Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight.

DAY 3: ATHENS – CORINTH CANAL - MYCENAE – EPIDAURUS
Today we drive along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf passing by the Corinthian Canal, a four mile straight, connecting the waters of the Saronic and Corinthian Gulfs. We proceed to Mycenae to visit the remains of the prehistoric citadel fortified with the Cyclopean Walls, the Lionesses' Gate, the remains of the Mycenaean Palace and the Tomb of King Agamemnon (in which we will actually enter). After lunch provided at a local restaurant, we continue through Argos on to Nafplion, the first capital of modern Greece and enjoy some free time here, before continuing on to visit Epidaurus: the Sanctuary of Asclepeios, ancient god of healing. We see the best-preserved ancient theater in all of Greece, easily accommodating 12,000 people, famous for the harmony of its design and the perfection of its remarkable acoustics. Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight.

DAY 4: ONE DAY CRUISE TO THE SARONIC GULF ISLANDS (HYDRA, POROS & AEGINA)
Today we are offered the enjoyment of a cruise to three islands in just one-day, including a buffet lunch on board and round-trip transfers by bus.

We sail at 8:00 a.m. from Marina Flisvos. First stop is the picturesque island of Hydra, a fashionable artists' colony, retreat of intellectuals and a favorite film location. No cars are allowed on the island and the only mode of transport is donkeys! It features a crescent-shaped harbor, bustling with restaurants, shops, markets, and galleries ready for exploring. Steep stone streets lead up and outwards from the harbor area, making it prettier than a post card and a popular photo stop.

Following this stop, board the boat for a buffet lunch on board while continuing our voyage to Poros, where the first naval arsenal of independent Greece was established. Poros provides delightful scenery marked by the clock tower and the low pine-wooded hills. Our last port of call is Aegina, an attractive and tranquil resort place. Here we can either join the optional excursion to the Temple of Aphaia; one of the finest and the best preserved of the Greek temples, or walk leisurely around the harbour & browse in the small gift shops. Return back to the port in the early evening around 7:00 p.m. Transfer back to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
4
DAY 5: ACROPOLIS MUSEUM & SHOPPING IN ATHENS
Today, we meet our guide for a tour of the Acropolis Museum. We then continue for lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure in Athens Plaka area before our return to the hotel.

DAY 6: ATHENS DEPARTURE
