AKROTIRI & OIA SUNSET – 4 hours
This volcanic island erupted for the first time in 1450 BC forming Santorini’s crescent shape and stunning caldera views. The island is widely believed to be a candidate for the lost kingdom of Atlantis. Visit the archaeological site of Akrotiri which houses the ruins of a Minoan city destroyed by the volcanic eruption. Then continue to Oia for a walk through the picturesque town and witness the spectacular sunset views.
SANTORINI VILLAGES, AKROTIRI & THERA – 6 hours
Meet your guide at the port and embark on a 6-hour tour, including the famous excavations at Akrotiri and Perivolos black beach. Brief stop for swimming and lunch on your own.
Continue with a visit to Megalochori village (very picturesque, typical Santorini village) and Prophet Ilias Greek Orthodox Monastery to admire the view and take photos (15min). Last stop is at the capital town of Fira. Walk around the narrow streets, see the Metropolis church, white washed buildings and stunning caldera views before returning to the cruise.
