Day 1: PALERMO
Welcome to Palermo, a city with truly Mediterranean climate, cuisine and history that will keep you enthralled the whole time you are here. With influences from both East and West, it is a bustling modern city with amazing restaurants and diverse architecture signifying the past presence of Greeks, Romans and Medieval kingdoms.

Day 2: PALERMO
Full day in Palermo. Enjoy a guided, morning visit to the city centre, with innumerable art treasures, famous square and old mansions. In the afternoon, we visit Monreale and its splendid cathedral and cloisters.

Day 3: PALERMO – SEGESTA – SELINUNTE - AGRIGENTO
After breakfast, depart for Segesta and visit the Greek temple and theater, continuing afterwards to Selinunte for lunch. After the break, we visit the archaeological area and in late afternoon we arrive at Agrigento/Porto Empedocle, check-in at hotel and enjoy dinner, followed by overnight stay.

Day 4: AGRIGENTO - TAORMINA
Today we visit the famous Valley of the Temples one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture. Later, we depart for the east coast of Sicily stopping at Piazza Armerina. Continue with a visit to a late Roman villa at Casale with superb mosaics. Accommodation will be at a hotel in Sant’Alessio Siculo near Taormina.

Day 5: TAORMINA
Today we will enjoy a half day tour of Taormina, famous international tourist resort with a wealth of historical and cultural attractions.

Day 6: TAORMINA - SYRACUSE
Departure after breakfast for Syracuse, one of Italy’s loveliest cities with excellent works of art and monuments. We meet with our local guide and visit the archaeological site, as well as Ortigia peninsula. Before returning to our hotel in the afternoon, we briefly stop at Acireale, famous for its Baroque treasures.

Day 7: SYRACUSE – MT. ETNA
Today’s journey begins with a visit of the volcano on Mount Etna. Our bus will reach the Sapienza Refuge, from where off-road vehicles can be hired locally to visit craters if conditions permit. Return to the hotel later and spend rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 8: DEPARTURE
It is hard to believe that everything you discovered and explored in these past few days were all located on this one island and that the music and the memories of Sicily will stay with you and encourage you to join us for your next trip to one of our great destinations!
